Composer/professor.
Where do you live?
Cambridge.
What's a cool project you're currently working on?
I'm writing a piece for Cappella Clausura—a setting of Iranian poetry in Farsi for a cappella choir.
What's your current favorite Boston bar or restaurant?
Sarma in Somerville.
Random fact/hidden talent about yourself?
I can speak Farsi.
What does it mean to live a creative life?
To find a sense of spirituality and wonder in the act of creating music.
If you weren't in Boston in 2017, what city and era would you be most at home in?
San Francisco, now.
Who would play you in the film (or musical or operatic) adaptation of your life?
Bjork and Tina Fey would play different aspects of me.
