Well hello, ladies and gentlemen! An unprecedented event has occurred: I, Kyle Thomas Hemingway Dickinson, am returning for one night [day?] only as your On the Town tour guide! I just missed my #bullypulpit so much, I needed to step back up on it for a special guest appearance! So without any further ado (because generally I will take a mile when given an inch), let's head out On the Town!

Well, friends, it's a rather inhospitable first day of spring here in Boston, but that doesn't mean you should fret! There are plenty of ways to celebrate the kickoff of the season that will keep you warm and dry—in a theater, concert hall, or museum! This week, Opus founder and host Graham is joined by Opus regular and all-around fabulous gal Jill Fisher! An art history junkie, Jill can be found all over Boston soaking up as much art and performance she can; and when she's not, she's living for food as a web editor for America's Test Kitchen. Food, beverages, and culture—Jill's like the Opus Affair poster girl! Let's see what these two have in store for our weekends!

Ladies* Who Lunch: M. Bevin O'Gara

Before rehearsals of her new show began, I sat down with newly-engaged-but-not-yet-talking-about-it lady M. Bevin O’Gara and, after I finished making fun of her choice in cellular technology, discussed Cuba, the Olympics, and the newest underground musical phenomenon known as “B-Jazz.”

It's hot, it's cold, and everywhere in between! The weather in Boston has been absolutely unpredictable in the past week or so. The only thing that remains predictable in Boston is that there's a smörgåsbord of fabulous #BosArts each week to warm up your body and nourish your soul. This week, in addition to #OpusOTT regular Graham Wright, we've got Opus A-lister Julie Judson! Julie is a fabulous dancer, choreographer, and founding member of the Allegro Dance Collaborative. When this firecracker isn't channeling her inner Fosse, she runs the Metropolitans at Citi Performing Arts Center. Put on your snow boots and join Graham and Julie On the Town!

Crowded: Cadenza

When we conceived this series, Crowded, we aimed to spotlight local arts crowdsourcing campaigns, in part, because they speak uniquely to the kind of city we are: smart, innovative, and supportive. Cadenza couldn’t be a finer example: like our beautiful skyline, it is both ambitiously modern and rooted in the classics. “An orchestra in an app,” this project lit us up with that fluttery feeling. I guess you’d call it “promise.”

Now that the Oscars are over (And Adela Dazeem is safely back in New York), it's time to focus on the weekend ahead! This week, we are joined by the incomparable Liz Devlin, mastermind behind the Flux Boston. Reading her Weekly Wrap-ups, you might think she was an army, to cover as many art happenings as she does...and yet she is just one woman. One busy, busy woman. Thankfully she could spare a moment to share some of her picks with us for this week's #OpusOTT. I wish there were an animated gif to properly express how excited we are to have her join us (she probably has one). And the #OpusOTT picks are...

Recently, I sat down with honorary lady Charles Haugland, and after we finished gushing about our mutual crush on the immense talent of Maria Aitken, discussed Chekov, surprise Russian majors, and why Joanne Chang hasn’t yet released a Meyers + Chang cookbook.
