Love is in the air, my friends! Although I'm sure that nobody is going to be quite lucky enough to receive a box of chocolates quite as magnificent as the one above, it's unmistakably that time of year where roses, fancy dinners, and heart-shaped boxes reign supreme! What better way to show that special someone you care than with a night out #OnTheTown?! Therefore I present to you #OnTheTown: Valentines Day Edition!

Feel free to add your arts-going romantic antics in the comments below!

Aching to be serenaded while you stroll through the MFA with your boo? The folks at New England Conservatory feel you! On the evening of Valentine's Day starting at 6pm, musicians from NEC will be performing music selections inspired by various works on display throughout the museum (they've even put together a handy dandy web page documenting these pairings).

Heartbeat: In the Edward Linde Gallery at Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, 465 Huntington Avenue, Boston; necmusic.org/heartbeat. February 14 only. @necmusic @mfaboston

What better way to spend Valentine's day weekend than with Boston's premier all-male hard rock Lady Gaga cover band? Even without a meat dress, the universality of the themes Lady Gaga explores in her music is brought to the forefront by these adept interpreters. Let's play a lovegame on Saturday evening with these fine [incredibly attractive] gentlemen at JP's Midway Café!

Alejandro and the Fame's Valentine's Day Rockstravaganza: At Midway Cafe, 3496 Washington Street, Jamaica Plain; facebook.com/AlejandroandTheFame. February 16 only.

After all the candy hearts are consumed and your long-stem roses are safely arranged in a vase at home, trek on out to Harvard's Sanders Theatre for the two days of the Harvard Women's Choral Festival! Featuring all-female choruses both from the Greater Boston area and beyond, the weekend will also include a performance by internationally renowned a cappella ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock. Throw in some workshops (including one about my boo, Hildegaard von Bingen!) and it sounds like this is going to be a fabulous festival!

Harvard Women's Choral Festival: At Sanders Theatre, 45 Quincy Street, Cambridge; womenschoralfestival.org. February 15 & 16. @HarvardWCF

Just a reminder, don't forget Opus Affair's upcoming Punch Bowl Fund event on Tuesday at Stoddard's Fine Food & Ale. We're celebrating the Punch Bowl Fund at its birthplace and getting a sneak peek at Stoddard's new Friday Club while we're at it!
