It feels just like yesterday that Graham was writing a similar blog post about me, and yet four years and four months later I'm writing one myself. As of January, I'll be passing the torch (tiara?) of Opus Affair Boston chapter host to Carolyn MacLeod.

Passing the tiara

This Monday's Opus Affair at the Sinclair will be my last officially as host. It's been a great privilege to be the first non-founding host of our community, and it's been terrible fun planning these gatherings and meeting all of you fabulous people. Opus Affair has been a part of my life for nine years, and to have held the reins for a while has truly been an honor.

I'm very much looking forward to Carolyn being in the driver's seat (aided by our trusty team of cohosts) and seeing what she has in store for the future of our community—starting with her first event in January. Her incredibly capable and talented hands are going to drive us into the future. Give her Instagram a follow, she's pretty awesome over there.

I hope to see many of you at The Sinclair on Monday for my last "official" Opus, but don't worry—If you've learned one thing about me in the last four years, you'll know that I'm very hard to keep away from a party.

Happy Holidays!
